Do not have a possibility to connect to mains? No matter, the sun is everywhere!

Recently we can see a before unseen expansion of electricity production by means of photovoltaic panels. Amount of solar energy, which falls on Earth is about 10 000 times more, than a mankind is able to use at presence!

There is a possibility, but in many cases a necessity of exploitation of this renewable form of energy. At presence a man uses only about 1% from the whole amount of solar energy stored in biosphere, in a form of food. The rest waits for our usage. In our offer there are photoelectric (called also photovoltaic) panels, which can directly convert a solar energy to electric. Conversion efficiency reaches about 15%, it means, that at a peak sun radiation 1000 W/m2 in a Middle Europe, it is possible to gain approx. 150 W/m2 of electric energy from these panels. Main problem of solar cells, is that they are relatively expensive so far, so their usage is not economically effective everywhere.

Already today solar panels usage is more effective in places without mains as well as in places, where a connection to mains would demand an expensive connection. An advantage is the possibility to use solar panels for example for meteorologic devices and traffic marking, widely used along highways and bridges, position lighting of access roads and pathes. A big space for their utilization is in telemetry and monitoring systems, mobile watching systems, water systems devices, monitoring of level height and many others. They can be used more intensively also in touristic and recreational facilities, autocamps. It is pleasant to say, that the price of solar panels and accessories dropped down during last years, thus their usage is effective even there, where it recently wasn´t yet.

A base of a solar system are silicon solar cells usually in a form of panels, e.g. in an alluminium construction covered by a resistant glass, connecting wires, regulators controlling charging of batterries and batterries into which a gained energy is stored. Further it depends only on us, whether we will use 12V appliances or we will use a voltage inverter 12V DC/ 230V AC. If we have 12V appliances (for example lighting), in such case a solution without inverter is cheaper and moreover more power efficient, as no further losses inavoidable at conversion from 12V to 230V appear. Set Solar Set 12V/70W is a complete system with a solar panel, regulator, powerful 100Ah accumulator and a cable. Set S4.500 is a set of 12V regulator and a 12V/45Ah accumulator in an aesthetic enclosure. An interesting alternative for a lighting solution is a set Ulitium1 200 Solar Lightkit W, consisting of a soalr panel, stand-alone lamp with a Li-ion accumulator and interconnecting cables. An advantage is an independence and modularity of a system – if we have more distant places like an outer summer house, we will spare cables and moreover this solution is without power losses from long conductors.
