MCU Cortex-M3 + BLE 5.3 = Quectel HCM111Z
Quectel introduced the high-performance MCU BT module HCM111Z to the market, boasting a Cortex-M3 processor with a frequency of up to 48 MHz and support for BLE 5.3 technology. It has built-in SRAM memory with a size of 48 KB and FLASH memory with a size of 512 KB, which ensures efficient performance.
"The manufacturer delivers this module in an LCC form factor with ultra-compact size of 15.0 mm × 12.0 mm × 2.25 mm, optimizing the size of end devices as well as their costs and ensuring compatibility with various designs," says Pavel Kováč, a product specialist at SOS electronic.
Ideal solution for smart IoT devices
The manufacturer states that the BT module HCM111Z supports up to 13 GPIO for UART, SWD, SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM, and I2S* functions in QuecOpen® solution and low-power Bluetooth mode, providing flexibility and versatility for a wide range of applications, especially in smart homes and industrial IoT.
"An interesting optional feature of the module is the built-in audio encoder, which allows microphone pickup and audio playback. This solution is ideal for smart devices such as smart voice remote controls, smart toy cars, sports health and home appliances," continues Pavel Kováč.
The possibility of multiple connections of this module supports dozens of devices to create a communication network, which can be applied in inverters, power banks, charging stations, wearable electronics, IoT, and similar. Other extended areas of use include meters and sensors of physical quantities.
