Apacer’s SDM5A-M and SM220-M242 SSD series provide an ideal balance of performance, capacity, reliability and cost.
SDM5A-M (SATA Disk Module 5A) series comes in capacities from 4 to 32GB. SDM provide enough capacity to store the data and operation of industrial applications under light operating system.
SDM uses 7-pin SATA connector that mates to SATA connectors on motherboard. Unique hook design keeps SDM securely in place. You simply plug SDM into motherboard SATA connector and connect 5V power by provided cable. SDM is also available in cable-less high-speed version in capacities of 32 and 64GB. This variant requires SATA connector with 5V power and GND.
We included 8GB version, APSDM008GB2AN-ETM1 into our stock. It provides sustained read/write speed 105/24 MB/s.
SM220-M242 series is the next generation of SSD in M.2 2242 form factor. Dimensions of 22x42mm only make these SSD ideal choice for space constrained embedded systems. M.2 replaces the mSATA standard, which uses the mPCIe card layout and connectors. You can find M.2 socket on TechNexion Nymph carrier board or inside of TEK3IMX6Q industrial computer for example. SM220-M242 series comes in capacities from 8 to 128GB. SSD contains DRAM buffer which increases IOPS (Input/output Operations per Second). We included 32GB version, APM2T42SM22032GAN-3GTM into our stock. It provides sustained read/write speed 210/42 MB/s.
Both series use MLC flash. Flash management provide industry standard functionality as built-in hardware ECC (Error Correction Code), static/dynamic wear-leveling, flash bad-block management, S.M.A.R.T., power failure management, ATA secure erase and TRIM command support.
