The first color films were screened as only two-color movies. The American company Technicolor, however, introduced a method by which they could reproduce the three basic colors and their suitable mutual combinations made it possible to get the other colors, too. At first, Mickey Mouse cartoons by Walt Disney were filmed this way. The biggest breakthrough in color cinematography was achieved with animated movie Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs.
