ARDUINO

Arduino are small single-board computers based on the ATmega microcontroller platform from Atmel or ARM. The history of these computers and the Arduino company itself began with the introduction of the project in 2005 in the Italian town of Ivrea. The founders of the company are Massimo Banzi and David Cuartielles. The philosophy of the authors was to come up with a project that would be freely available (open-source) to all users interested in using or improving it. The main idea was to support computer science education in schools and familiarize students with how various devices are controlled using computers.

More about ARDUINO

Arduino was never intended to be a full-fledged desktop computer, as the control program is developed separately and then uploaded to the Arduino and run, where it continuously repeats in a loop. Arduino constantly senses its environment and reacts to it and thus finds its irreplaceable application in controlling robots, drones and the like.

Over the years, Arduino has gained fans and users all over the world – whether it's hobbyists utilizing Arduino products to control their own applications, educators in high schools and universities using it as a great teaching tool, or professional users in businesses or industries where Arduino can connect remote sensors or other IoT elements to streamline their automation processes.
