Alphanumeric LED displays
Alphanumeric displays use 16 segments to display characters. This type of LED display is used to display letters, numbers, symbols, and a dot, which forms a separate, essentially seventeenth segment. Depending on the usage, the body of the display can be designed to display one or multiple characters. Depending on the internal arrangement and connection of the LED diodes, it can be an alphanumeric LED display with a common anode or a common cathode.
This type of display is commonly used in various measuring devices, digital clocks, alarm clocks, media players, and similar devices.
