VA505B recognizes resistance and capacitance of the different types of resistors, capacitors, diodes and helps to identifie low-cost components.
Auto-scan pen meter VA505B brings wider measuring range as well as an autoranging and an automatic recognition of the measurement according to measured component. There is no more need to set the type of the component before measuring it. VA505B can be used also directly in the measured circuits in certain conditions.

Measuring range in manual mode:
- Resistance: 600Ω / 6kΩ / 60kΩ / 600kΩ / 6MΩ / 60MΩ
- Capacitance: 6nF / 60nF / 600nF / 6uF / 60uF / 600uF / 6mF / 60mF
- Diode test: DC forward current: cca. 1mA
Reverse voltage: cca. 2,8V
- Continuity check: If the resistance betwen measured contacts is lower than 30Ω, there is an audio signal of 2kHz.
Measuring range in “AUTO-SCAN” mode:
VA505B measuring tweezer can also test the functionality of the standard LED diodes, which will begin flashing when testing.
Auto power off of the device extends battery life and, therefore, if there is no activity (no measurement,or pressing any key device) within 10 minutes the device automatically shuts down.
- Resistance: 600.0Ω ~ 6.000MΩ
- Capacitance: 6nF ~ 600μF
- Diode test: DC forward current: cca. 1mA Reverse voltage: cca. 2,8V
