The first Z+ series models have been available since 2012 and are still under warranty today. TDK Lambda continually adds new models to this successful series. Currently, the series includes 33 models with output power 200 to 800W and output voltages up to 650V.

Z+ series power supplies have been designed to meet the demands of a wide variety of applications like test and measurement, automatic test equipment, semiconductors burn-in, supplying laser diodes, heaters, RF amplifiers and magnets as well as for general laboratory and industrial use.
Z+ series provides models with output voltages from 0 to 10, 20, 36, 60, 100, 160, 320, 375 and 650VDC. 200, 400, 600 and 800W models are available for each voltage range except 0 to 375Vdc where only 800W model is available. All models can operate in a constant-current or constant-voltage mode, accept wide 85 to 265Vac input range and feature active power factor correction.
Each model can be used as a single bench power supply, assembled into a dual or triple bench power supply, or 19-ich rack mounted. Air intakes are placed on the front and rear panel which allows side-by-side mounting of six 70mm or four 105mm units in a 19-Inch/2U high rack. Airflow through the unit is ensured by variable speed fan.
Parallel and Serial Output Connection
Up to six identical units can be connected in parallel with active output current sharing. When connected as a master/slave parallel configuration, the master unit reports total system output current, which means that units appear as a single power supply. Up to 2 units can be connected in series to increase the output voltage or to provide a bipolar output.
Safe-Start and Auto-Re-Start
Extensive safety features include user-selectable Safe-Start and Auto-Re-Start. With Safe-Start, the power supply returns to the pre-outage settings after a power failure, but with the disabled output. User has to push the output button to turn on the output voltage on. With Auto-Re-Start, the power supply returns to normal operation without user intervention after a power failure.
All Z+ models include built-in arbitrary waveform generation and storage for up to 4 pre-programmed waveforms; making them ideal equipment for test and simulation tasks in the Automotive, Solar Panel and LED/Laser industries, to name a few. These power supplies feature very fast command processing times, output sequencing and two programmable output pins that, for example, can be used to control relays. Up to 12 voltage or current values can be programmed using the provided waveform creator software. More complex waveforms can be created using LabView®. These waveforms can be either repetitive or single-shot.
All Z+ models have built-in USB, RS232, RS485 interfaces and analog control interfaces. Up to 31 sources can be connected to the RS485 bus.. Optional LAN, GPIB (IEEE488) and isolated analog programming interfaces are also available.
