DC/DC converters, also known as DC/DC voltage converters or voltage regulators, are designed for use in industrial electronics. They are manufactured with a wide range of input and output voltage and power options and various mechanical configurations. They are divided into several groups:

  • DC/DC converters for medical devices, with a power range of 1 – 60 W, highly durable, meeting the strictest quality and interference standards, suitable for PCB mounting.
  • DC/DC converters for railway applications, with a power range of 3 – 300 W, designed for PCB mounting or direct installation within the device enclosure.
  • DC/DC converters for 19" subrack solutions, suitable for 19" racks, mainly used in industry and telecommunications.
  • DIN rail-mounted DC/DC converters with a power of 20-200 W, designed for use in industrial applications, often used for voltage conversion from 12 V to 24 V and vice versa, as well as for achieving 12 V or 24 V from other DC voltage sources. They are used for mounting on a DIN rail or directly for installation in the device.
  • Non-isolated DC/DC converters, 0.5 – 30 A, high-efficiency voltage regulators that replace standard linear regulators in TO220 enclosures and they are also pin-compatible with common linear regulators like models TSR 1-2450 and TSR 2-2450.
  • SMD DC/DC converter modules, with a power range of 1 – 15 W, designed for surface mount device (SMD) mounting on a printed circuit board.
  • DC/DC converter modules in SIP package, with a power range of 1 – 12 W, intended for PCB mounting and available in non-regulated, semi-regulated, or fully regulated output voltage versions.
  • DC/DC converter modules in DIP package, with a power range of 1 – 60 W, designed for PCB mounting. An example is the TEL 5-2411 model.
  • Brick module DC/DC converters, with a power range of 40 – 200 W, featuring robust construction and high output power, typically used in industry, medical devices, railway transportation, and more.
  • Low-power DC/DC modules, ranging from 6 to 60 W – these are encapsulated DC/DC converters with screw terminals, designed for integration into devices or for mounting on DIN rails.
  • High-power DC/DC modules, ranging from 60 to 300 W – these are compact, high-performance DC/DC converters intended for use in industry and in mobile or stationary devices used in railway transportation. They are characterized by high efficiency and the ability to adapt to thermal conditions, allowing for use without active cooling.

Sources on DIN rail, available as AC/DC power supplies or DC/DC converters, which can be used in various applications and environments, are divided into several groups:

  • DIN rail sources for general use – these are standard power supplies designed to convert AC voltage to DC voltage. They find their use in industry, households, or offices.
  • DIN rail sources as system solutions – they are custom-made according to the customer's requirements, tailored to their needs.
  • Low-profile DIN rail sources – these are compact AC/DC power supplies in a small enclosure height, mainly used in battery backup systems.
  • DIN rail DC/DC converters, typically used in industry, often as converters from 12 V to 24 V or vice versa, 24 V to 12 V, or for achieving 12 V or 24 V from a different DC voltage. They are used as sources of safe voltage in automation applications.
  • DIN rail sources for harsh industrial and outdoor environments – these are standard power supplies designed to convert AC voltage to DC voltage. They are designed for challenging environments and are engineered to withstand moisture, interference, vibration, dust, with a wide range of operating temperatures.
  • DIN rail sources for building automation – available as AC/DC power supplies or DC/DC converters. They are characterized by a compact design that can be installed in a regular wall-mounted distribution box. They are mainly used in households and industries.

Accessories include heatsinks for DC/DC converters, coils and chokes for EMI filters, mounting kits for DIN rails, cables, and connectors.
